This is a collaborative community gathering in a creative safe space allowing Fort Irwin residents an outlet to process and share their life experience through artmaking and expression. During these free events, participants can:
Work on your current art or craft project. Start, or get an idea for, a new one.
Talk about your inspirations, challenges, and joys.
Share your skills, technique tips, and favorite tools.
Receive and give feedback on your work and others.
Meet other active or aspiring makers!
No prior art experience is necessary, just an interest in exploring your personal expression and respect for others in their parallel pursuits. Young creatives are also allowed if they can participate constructively, or play independently. For those with culinary inclinations, potuck-style contributions are welcome, but not required.
Held monthly on a Friday from 10 am - 2 pm at Crackerjack Flats Neighborhood Center
MARCH: Inspire (Connecting with our creativity through conversation.)
Project Prompt: Sketchbooks
The emphasis of this session will be facilitating engagement amongst attendees to build community/participant retention and encourage regular creative practice outside our monthly sessions
