A little bit National Night Out combined with a bike parade, this first responder appreciation event is a new to Irwin community event we hope to hold every year! Participants will meet at Rhineland Park at 5:30. Parade will commence at 6:00 and begin traveling 1/2 a mile to the Sandy Basin Community Center parking lot. There, participants will enjoy treats from local businesses along with giveaways, demonstrations, and special guests from the Fort Irwin Department of Emergency Services. Awards will be presented at 7:30.

• PARADE ENTRIES MUST have wheels and wear appropriate safety gear.

• BIKES, STROLLERS, SKATES, SCOOTERS, and other self-powered devices only.

• PARENT pedestrian chaperones are welcomed and encouraged to dress up as well!

• ROUTE is Rhineland PARK AT Normandy to SANDY BASIN COMMUNITY CENTER PARKING LOT.

• JUDGES will be staged at the Nancy Street Park

• TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURES will occur along the parade route, but will not block access to alleyways. Sandy Basin Community Center's main parking lot will be closed to public use during the event.
